I moved back home to care for my aging parents on our family's five acres in rural South Texas. I built a small home on the property. I learned to garden in clay and caliche in triple-digit heat. I raised chickens, adopted livestock guardian dogs, and made peace with barn cats who answer to no one. And when my parents passed, I had a choice about what to do with the land — and with myself.

This channel is that choice, made visible.
